Prentice-Skottowe Cup
The Prentice-Skottowe Cup was first established in 1904 by John Prentice, a successful shipbuilder from Greenock who spent more than 50 years in Shanghai, and Ernest B. Skottowe. It quickly became a became a celebrated fixture of the sporting calendar and was contested annually until 1941, playing a key role in fostering the growth of football within the community. Today, the Prentice-Skottowe Cup remains a popular sporting tradition in Shanghai.
