Shanghai Scottish
Burns Supper & Ceilidh | 2026
The Shanghai Scottish Burns Supper and Ceilidh was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, celebrating the life and legacy of Robert Burns – his poetry, music and enduring cultural influence – in true Scottish spirit. Guests enjoyed a special message from Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney in addition to the traditional Address to the Haggis, followed by the Toast to the Lassies, the Reply from the Lassies and a stirring Immortal Memory.
The evening also featured piping, ceilidh music, dancing and special entertainment honouring Shanghai Scottish members from 2012–2017 – a wonderful tribute to our history and community.
Bringing together Scots, friends of Scotland and the wider international community, the event was a joyful and memorable celebration in Shanghai.
Our sincere thanks go to our fantastic speakers for their thoughtful and entertaining contributions, and to all our sponsors and supporters – your generosity and enthusiasm made the evening possible and a resounding success.
